There has been a growing interest in finding alternative sources of energy, especially to power motor vehicles in the past few decades. However, it is clear that every new and improved approach has some limitations. A dire need exists to find ways of improving the existing methods to ensure that they sustain [A1] in the long term. The restriction of methanol in smaller devices such as cameras has led to experimentation and the development of new techniques, such as the use of formic acid in micro fuel cells. The idea of focusing on automobiles is essential as well because they are major energy consumers and a threat to the environment. There is hope that the fuel cell will work well without these limitations since it has already been tested practically. Nevertheless, there is a need to advance the research that will lead to the enhanced development of the fuel cell as this is necessary to make it affordable.
The problem of the membrane that separates the hydrogen electrode from the oxygen one has been identified. The membrane functions to prevent the hydrogen molecules from passing through and at the same time allows [A2] the passage of ions to the electrodes. Although the issue has been rectified, it still needs improvement, which will lead to its employment in automobiles at a lower price. The current cost identified is steep, and it would prevent its adoption. The fuel cell adoption would be a significant change. Since the use of lead started in storage batteries more than eighty years ago, there have been no new methods identified. It is time for a change that will ensure that safe and more efficient chemicals and materials are used for innovations.
[A1]Avoid wordy phrases.
[A2]Subject-verb disagreement.
